Shader Progress
Okay so I've made some progress with shaders and materials in Blender. I've put together several of my experiments into a (badly designed/rushed) character design to demonstrate how they can be practically applied.
I'm toying with the cell shaded idea - it seems if done well it can look great, else it's really crap. Really I'll need to test this character in an environment to see. Also I'm not entirely sold on toon outlines (even though it was a mission to integrate).
All this is running in realtime in the Blender Game Engine:
Cool design, yes rough but cool. But what type of game is this for or what type of media?

This would be a PC game using the Blender Game Engine (the video is in game). The character design isn't reflective of the game (which could be described loosely as a third person adventure).
The outlining looks great! Is there a possibility you could release this shader to the public? It sounds like you're questioning using it at all, and it'd be a shame if this were lost.

I can't exactly remember why--maybe it was peer pressure from our health-driven community, who knows. Most bread machines come with a recipe book included.
